Our last stop on our trip from the\u00a0United States<\/em>\u00a0was in\u00a0Las Vegas<\/strong>.\u00a0Also called the “<\/span>Fun Capital of the World<\/span><\/em>“, “<\/span>The City That Never Sleeps<\/span><\/em>“, “<\/span>Sin City<\/span><\/em>” or “<\/span>The Kitsch Capital<\/span><\/em>“,\u00a0<\/span>Las Vegas<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0offers tourists a whole world in one place.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Pictures and movies don’t really capture the atmosphere of the city, and only by visiting Vegas can you truly understand its glitz.\u00a042 million tourists visit\u00a0Vegas<\/em>\u00a0annually , mainly gambling enthusiasts.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Located in the middle of the\u00a0Mojave Desert<\/em>,\u00a0Las Vegas<\/em>\u00a0is the 28th most populous city in America and the largest in the state of\u00a0Nevada<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

We’ve walked the boulevard a few times and it’s the ideal place to feel the full\u00a0Vegas<\/em> atmosphere.\u00a0You can walk across the boulevard, but although some hotels seem close, the distance between them is quite long and you will need a bus or taxi.\u00a0<\/span>Vegas<\/em> is beautiful during the day, but at night you will truly understand why it is also called the “City of Lights<\/em>“.<\/span><\/p>\n

We wish we had more days to visit all the hotels on\u00a0The Strip<\/em>, but we managed to check off a few and made a little summary. You can enter all the hotels, either visit them or play the games of chance, without anyone asking you anything.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Bellagio Hotel and Casino<\/strong>.\u00a0You can’t come to\u00a0Vegas<\/em>\u00a0without seeing the famous\u00a0Fountains of Bellagio<\/strong> show.\u00a0It is best to see the show in the evening, when the fountains are accompanied by lights.\u00a0Each show is unique, so no matter how many times you see the fountains, they will always impress you.\u00a0You can see the exact program by clicking\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

The hotel is famous for its elegance and for the\u00a0Cirque du Soleil<\/em> shows.\u00a0“O” by Cirque du Soleil<\/em>\u00a0includes acrobatics, dances and water gymnastics.\u00a0The story is about a boy taken on a fascinating journey through a mysterious aquatic world<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>“O” by Cirque du Soleil<\/a><\/em>\u00a0has its permanent “domicile” at\u00a0Bellagio<\/em>\u00a0since October 1998.<\/span><\/p>\n

Another attraction of the hotel is\u00a0the Conservatory & Botanical Gardens<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0\u2013 a botanical garden that you can walk through for free.\u00a0Each year they have five seasonal themes: Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter and Chinese New Year.\u00a0Each season, the horticulture and engineering teams transform the botanical garden into an explosion of color.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Bellagio<\/em>\u00a0also holds a world record: it houses the world’s largest glass sculpture.\u00a0The more than 2,000 colorful hand-blown glass flowers that hang in the hotel’s reception area were created by world-renowned artist\u00a0Dale Chihuly<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0The name of the sculpture translates as “Flowers of Como<\/em>” and represents the multitude of flower colors and beauty of the\u00a0Como<\/em>\u00a0area of\u00a0\u200b\u200bItaly<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

National Atomic Testing Museum<\/strong>.\u00a0In 1951, nuclear weapons testing began at the\u00a0Nevada Test Site<\/em> (105 km from Las Vegas<\/em>). Las Vegas<\/em> was called “Atomic City<\/em>” at the time. Residents and visitors could witness the tests (being exposed to radiation), and from 1963 nuclear tests were required to be moved underground.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Inside the museum you can see short films and more than 12,000 unique artifacts from the nation’s atomic testing program, as well as pieces of the\u00a0Berlin Wall<\/em>\u00a0<\/a>and the\u00a0World Trade Center<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0If you want to learn what impact these tests had in\u00a0<\/span>Las Vegas<\/span><\/em>, why nuclear weapons were used, and why\u00a0<\/span>Nevada<\/span><\/em>\u00a0was a “perfect” place to test them, visit the\u00a0<\/span>Atomic Testing Museum<\/span><\/a><\/em>.\u00a0<\/span>The price of a ticket is $22\/person (free entry with GO City).<\/span><\/p>\n

Luxor Hotel & Casino<\/strong>\u00a0is the second largest hotel in\u00a0Vegas<\/em> and one of the most famous hotels in the world due to its unique Egyptian<\/em> themed design.\u00a0The main building is represented by a huge pyramid (the third tallest pyramid in the world (107 m), after two of the pyramids of\u00a0Giza<\/em>) guarded by the copy of the\u00a0Sphinx<\/em>\u00a0of\u00a0Egypt<\/em>\u00a0(which is almost twice the size of the original) and numerous statues Egyptian.<\/span><\/p>\n
