It is one of the most studied landscapes in the world, with a multitude of geological features and a rich archaeological history. Being considered one of the natural wonders of the world, the\u00a0<\/span>Grand Canyon<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0is one of the most visited national parks in the\u00a0<\/span>United States<\/span><\/strong>, with 5.9 million visitors per year.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

After the two days spent in\u00a0Los Angeles<\/strong><\/a>, we set off for\u00a0the Grand Canyon<\/strong>.\u00a0We knew we had a long drive of about 620 km, so we left early enough to have time to visit everything we set out to do.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the way we made a small stop at\u00a0Lake Mead Recreation Area<\/strong>\u00a0.\u00a0Lake Mead<\/span><\/em> was created by the construction of the <\/span>Hoover<\/i> <\/span>Dam <\/em>and is the largest in the\u00a0<\/span>United States<\/span><\/em> in terms of water volume, supplying the states of <\/span>Arizona<\/span><\/em>, <\/span>California<\/span><\/em>, <\/span>Nevada<\/span><\/em>, as well as some areas of <\/span>Mexico<\/span><\/em>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Six hours later we arrived at the\u00a0Grand Canyon West Rim<\/strong>.\u00a0The Grand Canyon<\/em>\u00a0is divided into four areas:\u00a0North<\/em> Side<\/em>,\u00a0South<\/em> Side<\/em>,\u00a0East Side<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0West Side<\/em>, and the most visited and accessible are\u00a0Grand Canyon West Rim<\/strong> and\u00a0Grand Canyon South Rim<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n
