With four different theme parks (<\/span>Magic Kingdom<\/span><\/em>,\u00a0<\/span>Epcot<\/span><\/em><\/a>,\u00a0<\/span>Animal Kingdom<\/span><\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>Hollywood Studios<\/span><\/em>), two water parks (T<\/em><\/span>yphoon Lagoon<\/span><\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>Blizzard Beach<\/span><\/em>), numerous hotels and various shopping and dining opportunities,\u00a0<\/span>Walt Disney World<\/span><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is an ideal place to spend your vacation, regardless of season or age.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

We chose to go to two of the four parks:\u00a0Magic Kingdom<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Epcot<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0There are several types of tickets and you can combine them as you like, for example go to several parks in one day (Park Hooper<\/em>) or choose 2 days, 2 different parks (2-Day Ticket with\u00a0<\/em>1 Park Per Day<\/em>).\u00a0Prices vary depending on the season, number of days and number of parks chosen.\u00a0We chose the option with 2 days where we can visit 2 different parks and it cost 510\u20ac\/2 people.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Magic Kingdom<\/strong>\u00a0is the most famous and visited theme park in the world.\u00a0It opened its doors 50 years ago on October 1, 1971 and has been attracting tens of thousands of tourists every day since then.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

The park is divided into 6 themed areas with attractions for all ages:\u00a0Main Street USA<\/em>,\u00a0Liberty Square<\/em>, Fantasyland<\/em>, Adventureland<\/em>, Tomorrowland <\/em>and Frontierland<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

The Magic Kingdom<\/em>\u00a0has several “must see” attractions such as\u00a0Splash Mountain<\/em>,\u00a0Space Mountain<\/em>\u00a0or\u00a0Seven Dwarfs Mine Train<\/em>.\u00a0Of course you have to be patient and wait a good few minutes (or even an hour) to be able to enter.\u00a0<\/span>In addition to the attractions themselves, you should not miss the\u00a0Disney parades and the “<\/em>Happily Ever After<\/em>” fireworks show.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

At the main entrance is the\u00a0Main Street USA<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0area which houses the\u00a0Town Square Theater<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Town Hall<\/em>, restaurants and souvenir shops.\u00a0The street ends at the iconic\u00a0Cinderella Castle<\/em>\u00a0where the fireworks show takes place.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Adventureland<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is reached\u00a0from\u00a0Main Street<\/em>\u00a0by crossing a wooden bridge.\u00a0Adventureland<\/em>\u00a0is a mix of desert, jungle and tropical island.\u00a0Two of the most popular attractions here are\u00a0Pirates of the Caribbean<\/em> (set off with Captain Jack <\/em>and the pirate crew in search of treasure) and\u00a0Jungle Cruise<\/em> (a boat ride through the foliage and waterfalls of the Amazon<\/em>, then pass through an abandoned camp of on the banks of the\u00a0Congo<\/em> River, float among elephants and hippos, all while your guide navigates the most dangerous waters in the world).<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Fantasyland<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is the area that is based on the most famous\u00a0Disney<\/em> cartoons.\u00a0Cinderella’s Castle<\/em>\u00a0is the gateway to Fairyland, separating\u00a0Fantasyland<\/em>\u00a0from the rest of the park.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

The most famous attractions in this area are:\u00a0Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid<\/em>\u00a0(presents the love story between The<\/em>\u00a0Little Mermaid<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Prince Eric<\/em>. The special effects and animations accurately recreate each scene and character as if you were part of the story),\u00a0Peter Pan’s Flight<\/em> (fly with Peter Pan <\/em>over\u00a0London<\/em>\u00a0to\u00a0Never Land<\/em>\u00a0and as you progress find out if he manages to defeat\u00a0Captain Hook<\/em>),\u00a0Seven Dwarfs Mine Train <\/em>(navigate with the seven dwarfs inside the diamond mine, climbing the old mountain and then chasing down the steep slopes to its foot) or\u00a0The Many adventures of Winnie the Pooh<\/em>\u00a0(set off with\u00a0Winnie<\/em>\u00a0the<\/em> Pooh<\/em> and his friends on an unforgettable journey. Before the adventure you can paint with honey or explore the rabbit garden).<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Frontierland<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0area is especially visited for\u00a0Splash Mountain<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Big Thunder Mountain<\/em>. Big Thunder Mountain <\/em>was opened in 1980 and is a roller coaster that offers a 3-minute ride through the desert landscape of\u00a0Monument Valle<\/em>.\u00a0If you have heart problems or fear of heights, it is not advisable to enter. <\/span>Such warnings are also at\u00a0Splash Mountain<\/em>, another roller coaster that travels through the scenes of the animated film\u00a0Song of the South<\/em><\/a>\u00a0(if you don’t want to get wet, you can wear a raincoat, and at the entrance there are resealable bags for your cell phone or other objects you want to protect from water).<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Liberty Square<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is less “attractive” compared to the other areas of the park.\u00a0There are only three attractions here:\u00a0The Haunted Mansion<\/em>\u00a0(take a tour of the mansion that houses ghosts and try to find the exit avoiding the supernatural inhabitants of the haunted house),\u00a0The Hall of Presidents<\/em> (learn the history of America<\/em>\u00a0and the dramatic story of the founding of the nation, you can listen to John F. Kennedy<\/em>, George Washington<\/em>,\u00a0Abraham Lincoln<\/em>\u00a0and the last president-elect,\u00a0Joe Biden,<\/em> and at the end all the presidents of the US are presented in chronological order. The show lasts 25 minutes and runs throughout the day) and Liberty Bell <\/em>(a historic 17-minute ride on the Rivers of\u00a0America<\/em>).<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

The last area in the\u00a0Magic Kingdom<\/em>\u00a0is\u00a0Tomorrowland<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0\u2013 designed to depict the vision of the future.\u00a0Here is one of the park’s most popular attractions:\u00a0Space Mountain<\/em>.\u00a0It opened in 1975 and remains just as popular to this day, so there’s always a long wait.\u00a0Be prepared to fly in the dark, past shooting stars, comets and meteors while listening to cosmic sounds.\u00a0Not recommended for people with heart, back or neck problems.<\/span><\/p>\n
