Although there is no shortage of festivals in\u00a0Germany<\/em>, one of them stands out\u00a0during the autumn \u2013 the<\/strong> K\u00fcrbisausstellung Ludwigsburg<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0the largest pumpkin exhibition in the world, which has been held since 2000, between September and November, in the gardens\u00a0of The Ludwigsburg Palace<\/strong>. This year it took place from August 31 to November 4.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the two months of the\u00a0festival in\u00a0Ludwigsburg<\/strong>, more than 450,000 pumpkins (both edible and decorative) and a variety of pumpkin dishes are on display: pumpkin soup, baked pumpkin, pumpkin beer, burgers of roasted and caramelized pumpkin seeds.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to the “pieces of art”\u00a0<\/span>and pumpkin dishes<\/span>, there are also events such as pumpkin carving, pumpkin smashing,\u00a0<\/span>live concerts, various activities and competitions for the little ones.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

One day is dedicated exclusively to\u00a0<\/span>pumpkin\u00a0<\/span>singing –\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>“<\/span>World’s Biggest Pumpkin<\/span><\/em>” contest.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
